A
piece merchant in Jalupura zone of Jaipur on Thursday discovered in excess of
2,000 Aadhaar cards in a sack of old daily papers sold to him, the police said.
Somebody
sold a sack of old daily papers to a piece merchant, Imran, who later
discovered that it additionally contained more than 2,000 Aadhaar cards.
Imran
said he educated the police and the branch of data innovation and
correspondence when he found the cards.
It
has all the earmarks of being a package of Aadhaar cards which were to be
conveyed by post," Station House Officer (SHO) of Jalupura police
headquarters Likhma Ram said.
"The
cards were to be dispatched locally. In this way, probably the package by one
means or another got lost from the general mail station here," Ram
included.
The
police said that the postal division authorities had been educated and the
issue was being tested to determine how the cards were dumped in such a way.
