Fur garment worn by Titanic survivor offers for 150,000 pounds

LONDON: A fur garment worn by a top notch attendant when the Titanic sank in 1912 has been sold for 150,000 pounds at a bartering in the UK, twofold its unique valuation of 80,000 pounds.

She had put on the beaver sheep fur garment she possessed to keep her warm as she boarded raft, the Telegraph announced.

Bennett kicked the bucket matured 96 in 1974 and was the longest living female individual from the team. She had passed the coat on to her incredible niece in the 1960s as she discovered it too substantial to wear.

The fur garment and letter of provenance went under the sledge on Saturday at a sale at Henry Aldridge and Son in Devizes, Wiltshire.
